The Eagles STILL ROCK! I don't care what you say. They did put up a good fight to the Patriots, even though they lost. (At least I am a loyal fan, right?) ;o)

3 more games for the Pats!

The Sox have already won the WS

The Celtics are looking like the favorite in the NBA

The New England Revolution should have won their championship

The BC Eagles had a better season than they have had since the Flutie days

Has somebody been putting steroids in the Charles rivah since I left my beloved city?

No worries there. The big ? in my mind will be the following game. Assuming we play the Colts, it will be a rematch of last year, which I, quite frankly, think the Pats should have won. I live in Florida, however, so I'm sure I'll have to put up with a Jags fan or two... Especially considering that everyone seems to hate the Patriots nowadays. Let's hope for our boys can win some more jewelery this year, Mr Sean & Mr. Stefan. Take it easy guys.
I think the Jags are our biggest threat short of the Super Bowl so I hope all is good...so far Qtr 1 Pats 7 & Jags 7 with the Pats on the goal line.
The winning continues!!!! 31 - 20 Pats! Bring on the next opponent! Jags did a great job but Brady and the versitility of the offense won it!

OK, I've kept quiet for a while and let you enjoy the ride. But, now I'm going to talk some trash. Enjoy it while it lasts. Brett Favre and the Pac are going to stop Tom Brady and the Pats!!!

You say that now... but just you wait!
What are you Eliza Doolittle to my Henry Higgins? (smirk)
Say what you want, Alissa. We will have our revenge on Favre and his Packers. Favre was once a great quarterback, but watching the Packers this year he's relied on quite a bit of luck. Luck will only get them so far against the Patriots. To beat the Patriots you have to beat them for all 4 quarters. I doubt the luck of Favre can last the entire game against the skill of a team like the '07-'08 Patriots. I believe that 9 games out of 10 on a neutral field the Pats would beat the cheese right out of the Packers.

What woman wouldn't want to be the Audrey Hepburn of a relationship :-)

I wouldn't confuse luck and talent. Favre will start his 22nd playoff game this Sunday close on the heels of Joe Montana's record. He has completed 401 of 663 passes for 4,902 yards and 34 touchdowns in playoff games. I agree with the Pakers coach that Favre is "a once in a lifetime player. He will go down as one of the greatest or the greatest player in NFL history." And let's not forget that it was Favre that led the Packers past New England 35-21 for Green Bay's first Super Bowl victory after their 29-year drought.

List all the stats you want about Favre, The Patriots core team which of course includes Tom Brady has won 3 Super Bowls since then dear (gets into mean fighting machine growl and sneer. I don't think Favre can match that experience. He is 1-1 in Super Bowls vs 3-0 for the Pats in the last three visits. And Brady didn't play for the 1997 team that lost to Favre 11 years ago, who incidently lost the 1998 Super Bowl. (smirk) I will take Brady and the Pats core team experience over one man every day.... and Favre still needs to make it past the surging Giants and the Pats do need to make it past the Chargers. Favre is a great player but the Pats are the better team this year.

Favre may be starting his 22nd playoff game, but he's been in the league since the Kennedy assassination. This will be Brady's 16th playoff game in 7 years as a starting quarterback. Also, in terms of playoff statistics, Favre has a completion percentage of 61.5% while Brady has 62.5%. Favre has had 26 interceptions in 21 games while Brady has had only 9 in the 15 games. Favre's Win % in the playoffs is 57.1%. Brady's is 86.6%. I'd say that Brady has the overall better record. The old man had a great season, but his unorthodox style is prone to mistakes which Favre has gotten lucky on this season. Last season not so much. A team like the Patriots feeds on such mistakes.

The Packers are not a one man team. They are a young team, but there's a lot of talent there. The funny thing is that I'm actually a Bears fan saying all of this pro Packers stuff. See why I have to move out of Chicagoland ;-)

(Tackles Alissa for a 10 yard loss) WHISTLE!
[this is good]

"The Packers are not a one man team." -Alissa

Absolutely, but neither are the Patriots. Tom Brady, Randy Moss, Wes Welker, Donte Stallworth, Benjamin Watson, Kevin Faulk, Laurence Maroney, Juior Seau, Teddy Bruschi, Asante Samuel, Adalius Thomas, Rodney Harrison, Ellis Hobbs... You might as well just play the patriots in the pro-bowl for the AFC. And just wait until next year. We'll probably be keeping most of our players, and we'll be getting some new guys to freshen up our admittedly aging defense.
