Dreaming by the group Blondie. The song is both rallying cry for me about always pursuing your dream be it love or just life and nostalgia reminder. The drums are amazing! My sisters and I used to lock ourselves in their room and listen to Blondie's Best of album over and over. My memories about us dancing and singing like crazy "tweens" together is what I think propels this song forward in my memory all these years. This will be my entrance song at our wedding since it's pretty much my favorite song of all time. <smirk> Now if I remember it right, this was my song; Holly's was The Tide is High (although our "spotlight" dance at her wedding included One Way Or Another which Mikelle joined in on); and Mikelle's was Rapture because she liked the rap part (...and he shoots you dead and he eats your head). I loved it great message and good sound..... ROCK ON

Yeah, that is a good song, but there is another song by Blondie that plays on our music system at work (we switched to the 80s channel even though the boss does not like it), and it has an instrumental part that I can remember being in my head throughout my childhood ... but I never knew what song it was or who it was by. Well, now I know it is by Blondie, and I am going to "vox" it as soon as I get a chance.

Also, I watched Debbie Harry in "The Fluffer" today. ;)

I was barred from playing ‘Eat to the Beat’ at a record shop where I once worked. Without fail, every shift, BOOM! The needle hit the record and I went ape shit! And the eyes would roll and the moans would groan, but I didn’t care… I couldn’t work without hearing Union City Blue (not to mention Atomic, Slow Motion and Living in the Real World). An often overlooked gem that rivals the over hyped Parallel Lines…

Along with Dreaming, I can't get enough of Union City Blues (just her voice in it is just ethereal - What are we gonna do!), Hanging on The Telephone (who is she calling!), Atomic (maybe I want to be melted away by a nuclear explosion?), and (I'm Always Touched By Your) Presence Dear (ESP it runs in my family). I have the double album that was released in 1994 or 1995 so it has a ton of songs on it for me to dance to.
