What a walk!

So as many of you know and have seen over the last year and a half, I have lost about 80lbs or more. Officially I have dropped from a 44" waist to a 36" waist (depending on the brand).  Here are pics of me over the last 5 years or so. WOW have I changed!  I don't even recognize me!

Since February 2007, I have been embarking on a walking tour either at lunch time or at end of the day as a bid to exercise more. My co-worker Jim and I have gone from following the crowd of co-workers around the building we work in 10 times, to being renegades and creating a much larger walk. Since we work near the White House, Jim and I have basically created a path that winds us about 5.4 to 6 miles down and around The National Mall, Washington Monument, the Tidal Basin, and the Jefferson Memorial. Whew! Just tired writing about it.

Today was a great walk. Humid yet with a breeze and less tourists. Jim and I ended up knocking an extra 15 minutes off our normal time!  Sweaty and a litle sore calf wise, but the rewar of a McD's Vanilla Iced Coffee was heaven! Jim is melting the pounds away on his Weight Watchers plan, while the Abs Diet I am on is slowly moving out of its plateau.  Starting the work out tape soon since we can now watch DVDs in the lounge! Wish me luck!
