What's your favorite thing about being sick?

Since my cold - aka Brenda Vaccaro - won't go away and this weekend was very trying with "her" as a pesky "house guest" in my nose, sinuses, and throat, I feel compelled to answer this question!

My favorite thing about being sick is Stefan's love and patience with me when I am crabby and depressed. Everyone should have a Stefan!

Back in August 2007 I told you all about my college roommate's brother Peter Tuinstra and his new movie Croc. Well it appears that it has finally made it to the SciFi Channel big time... Sunday March 30 at 11am EST! (crickets start sounding) Ok ok so not a great time slot and probably not a great film, but I had to promote something from someone I know right?

Brenda Vaccaro

The cold I have is just not going away so I have decided from now on colds will now be named... Brenda Vaccaro, 1960s and 1970s star of stage and screen also known for her feminine product ad campaigns. Her distinctive feature? A raspy voice! So in the the future if you hear me say "Brenda Vaccaro is visiting this week" you will know what I mean! And yes she is still alive...

And, when I have cold, and get that oh-so-sexy raspiness, I always say I sound like I am the love child of the above-mentioned Miss Brenda Vaccaro and Harvey Fierstein. So, with due props given, my colds will now be referred to as "a visit from The Fierstein's." I just want to be loved...is that so wroooong???

Kylie to dance with the stars on US TV

KYLIE Minogue has booked the perfect launch pad for her new assault on the US music charts.

The Australian pop princess will perform live in front of more than 20 million US TV viewers next week on America's version of Dancing With The Stars.

The performance will take place on Tuesday April 1,2008 - the same day her latest album, X, hits US record stores.

Just under 21 million Americans tuned in to last week's season premiere of Dancing with the Stars, which features celebrities Priscilla Presley, tennis star Monica Seles, NFL giant Jason Taylor and actors Shannon Elizabeth, Steve Guttenberg and Oscar-winner Marlee Matlin.

Australian ballroom dancer Kym Johnson has her hands full this season as she is paired with uncoordinated Las Vegas comedian Penn Jillette, from the famed duo Penn and Teller.

Minogue's American fan base has had to be patient for X, with the album released in Australia and Europe last November.

The US has been one of the few markets where Minogue has struggled to dominate, although she topped the charts in 2002 with Fever.

Minogue has been busy talking up the album with the American media, telling Interview magazine she wanted to make X to prove she could still sing after her 2005 breast cancer scare.

"I wanted to know that I could still go into a studio and sing and perform, and thankfully all of that was like riding a bike, but actually easier, because with everything I'd been through, I felt quite liberated," Minogue told Interview.

"And it was important for me to put some personal tracks in there."

Maybe she'll sing this new song!!!

David Cook saved my ears tonight with a song...

Sean and Stefan exclaim...

Last night on American Idol (yes we are addicted... well Sean got Stefan addicted last year...) David Cook gave an incrdible performance of Michael Jackson's Billie Jean, the 1983 hit single. Cook slowed it down and made us love a song that Sean has freely admitted that he hates. Cook's arrangement was from a Chris Cornell (former lead singer of Audio Slave and Soundgarden) cover from his 2007 album. Although not original to Cook, the arrangement is what sells this song and Cornell will benefit we bet from the comparisons. Here are the YouTube clips of all three versions... you be the judge! Who sung it best???

In December 2003, Ronald D. Moore and David Eick took on a science fiction sacred cow and recreated it into a TV miniseries and later a brand new cable TV series. Battlestar Galactica was resurrected from its 1978 - 1979 grave and given a new look. Many thought the "recreation" would suck and die hard fans thought it would do a disservice to the original Lorne Greene helmed show. They were wrong. The show became the most popular Sci-Fi Channel original series ever, established itself as a Peabody and Emmy winning show, and built a following that allowed it to become a major seller on the DVD market. It was never a powerhouse show that had people watching and thinking about it like say ABC's Lost, but it was a show that truly took on the idea of genocide, war, technology, and the idea of being human like no other sci-fi show before it.

Battlestar Galactica Seasons 1, 2, and 3 recap... in 8 minutes!

This year is it's last season. I hope you will all will join me April 4th, 2008 in watching and rewatching one of the best TV shows of the last 10 years (if not 20 years!) in its final bow.
