Sean memorializes...

When I was a kid growing up near Manassas, my father one Easter introduced me to the film that was the next step to me being obsessed with old films. I know my sisters Holly and Mikelle looked forward to my monopolization of the television Easter mornings for almost 5 hours when Ben-Hur (1959) came on!  I never thought he was a great actor but Charlton Heston gave us some great moments in his Oscar-winning epic, The Planet of the Apes, Touch of Evil (as a Mexican police officer), The Ten Commandments, and The Big Country (his best acting gig in my opinion). So in honor of Heston (and not his politics) I would like to share this clip of some of his best film moments.

The McFreeds are excited to tell you...

...that we made another visit to our favorite waitress Helen this weekend!  Our friends Alan and Christy were the first honored guests (YES you should be jealous!) to enjoy the legend that is Helen at Chiapparelli's in Baltimore's Little Italy. We scarfed down food, had a great visit with one of our favorite couples, and then had our faces covered in red lipstick after Helen gave us a few smooches. It didn't hurt that we gave her a small gift and that she recognized Stefan right off (the man is not a stranger anywhere!)... while Sean just drew an initial blank stare (it's the jinx!). We were going to take pictures but Sean forgot to put the memory card in the camera!  But its for the best since build up is always best with a star like Helen!  She is a sweetheart!
